Usage of Zinc Oxide Active

In large proportions, zinc-oxide active, NK-Abehaves like reinforcing filler. It give vulcanizate high tensile strength and rebound resilience with a simultaneous increase in hardness. It also imparts resistance to ageing and protection against flex cracking.
Successively larger additions raise the degree of cross linkage and thus improve the mechanical properties of the vulcanizates, especially the modulus, resistance to abrasion and tearing.
As its proportion is increased, the thermal conductivity of rubber mixes is raised which is an advantage in hot air curing.
Owing to the fineness of particles, RT-2 is very easy to incorporate and disperses well.
It raises the viscosity of the mix. Large additions stiffen the mix considerably
